What ClipCaddy stores
ClipCaddy stores your Twitch account ID, username, display name, encrypted authorization tokens, and channel settings. It receives chat messages to recognize !clip commands. It stores accepted clip requests, the requesting viewer’s display name, clip title, timestamps, results, and delivery errors for up to 30 days. Other chat messages are not saved by this application.
Why authorization is needed
Your authorization allows ClipCaddy to receive chat commands in your channel and create clips using your account. ClipCaddy’s own Twitch account sends the result back to chat. Clips and chat replies are public on Twitch and subject to Twitch’s rules.
Storage and sessions
The service runs on Railway with PostgreSQL. Cloudflare routes website traffic. Essential, HTTP-only cookies keep you signed in for up to seven days and protect the Twitch authorization flow. The application does not use advertising cookies.
Disconnecting and deletion
Use “Disconnect and delete data” in the dashboard to remove your stored account authorization, settings, sessions, and request history from the application database. Copies may remain in infrastructure backups until those backups expire. This does not delete clips already published on Twitch. You can also revoke ClipCaddy in your Twitch account’s Connections settings.
Using the service
Only submit clip titles you are permitted to publish. Streamers control who can use the command and can disable it at any time. Clip creation depends on Twitch availability and channel settings; successful creation is not guaranteed.
